If the brick walls of 4 rue Liégeois could speak, they wouldn’t say anything… They would sing, they would resound with the sound of an ill-assorted and unskilled orchestra, and the noise of generations of children would burst forth…

This small turn-of-the-century ‘chateau’ was built for the good of our dear children. It was initially the local primary school in the Ville Haute. Yes, that’s right, Thuin’s Ville Haute had four schools within the space of just a few hundred square metres. Its reputation as an educational town still holds fast.

The building was then converted into a music school in 1983 where generations of trainee musicians have discovered the wonder of music… A school that was so dynamic that it was quickly bursting out of the walls. It therefore moved into the old police station in 2013.

The Maison des Jeunes and Amo now partly occupy the building.

Hence, this building has retained its inordinate love for youth, noise and bustle…

So yes, there’s no doubt about it, it frightens the pigeons away!
