Born in 1980 in Brussels (BE)

Adrien Tirtiaux is an engineer-architect and visual artist, two inseparable dimensions of his artistic approach. Keen to build bridges between the real and the fictional, the functional and the imaginary, Adrien Tirtiaux likes to invent a response to the place in which he is invited to work. A designer and builder, he likes to see the entire œuvre through, from sketchbook to assembly, the manufacturing process being as essential to him as the end result. Exhibited at Kunsthalle São Paulo, at Middelheim and M HKA in Antwerp, in particular, Adrien Tirtiaux is present at prestigious contemporary art events in Belgium and abroad. Pseudo-posty is the fruit of an invaluable collaboration with the Thuin ironmonger Laurent Malherbe. While the work can be seen all year round, the viewpoint is accessible on certain dates (calendar available at www.centreculturelhautesambre.be).
